I agree, but it depends on how you look at it. Any retard can punch in his CC number and carry the box along with his car to the local performance shop and be handed back a boosted car in a few days. If this guy doesn't know anything about cars it could save him a ton of time and hassle. If he enjoys tinkering with this stuff then building a kit could be a lot of fun and save him alot of money.

Yes, I'm not really in to Turbo Kits. I don't really know much about them. This is a kit friend told me to check out. I want to keep AC and this is the way to go. Its an instant 300whp. Im not very familiar with PSI and all that stuff...Can someone give me a breif explanation of what it means? How do all the gauges that go on the side work and such? Is there a transfer? My car is a 95 GS-R Teg. I need to know if this is good for the 3,000 dollars I plan to spend on this kit.
300whp will be about the peak you can make on your stock C1 block.
PSI- Pounds per square inch, generally the more PSI you run, the more power you make, but you have to consider turbo efficiency as well.
People do usually run a boost guage, you should look into one, as well as oil and fuel pressure guages if you want. Don't bother with the cheap air/fuel ratio gauges, they suck.

that is a good kit
Full-race makes quality products
it may be expensive, but is quality and complete
you could piece together a kit yourself if you wanted...and use similar components, but as far as kits are concerned Full-Race is the way to go
3000 bucks is pretty good for all that stuff...how are you getting it that cheap...on their site it is $4749
if you can get a real Full-Race kit for 3 grand, then get it
if you have to pay $4749, its still a good kit, but you can do better piecing it together

I think that kit sounds awesome, but like everyone else says, its going to be really expensive. A custom kit would be cheaper, but if you can afford it that kit would be a lot of fun. PSI refers to the pounds per square inch of pressure being forced into your engine. Think of the turbo as being an air compressor, if your running 12 psi then you turbo is forcing 12 lbs of compressed air into your cylinders. The more air you force in, the more fuel you can add, and thus the more hp you make. Your going to want a boost guage (tells you how much boost your running), and an air/fuel ratio guage, which is important for tuning. Any other guages are not as necessary, however they help to make sure everything is running ok.

Thanks for all the info yes I'm planning on going with this kit. I have the money friend is getting me whole set from a connection he has with an import shop for 3k so I thought I would go with this one and yes I will go ahead with the gauges and forget the air/fuel ratio gauges. Im going to get a carbon fiber lip and valve cover for the c1. This teg is also a project complete in the making. One last question though will I be able to get a dry nos kit with turbo kit on? Or will I blow the b18? I'm not real familiar with nos but I can learn. Thanks.
