Default I want my car to ride better, right now it's a rattle box.(Bushings)

A few weeks ago I was under my car and I looked at all my suspension bushings, they are all shot, I mean most of the are cracked all the way through. Which bushings are the most important to replace? I know I don't want a full polyurethane kit cuz that will make it ride way to harsh. Which bushings should I replace? OEM or is there some thing better, some thing that will handle better and have an "ok" ride comfort. Finally, where do I buy it for the best price?

it sounds like oem would be best for you.

if you dont want poly bushings, then it sounds like you just want OEM. but OEM aint so cheap either. mugen is the only other option, but at an even higher premium.

front end looseness could be balljoints and steering rack bushings as well. you really either figure which ones are loose and replace one by one, or just replace everything, likely theyre all in some degree of needing replacement if the car is over 10 years old.

OEM bushings are expensive, and harder to install, but they will give you the ride you're looking for.

Hey Damian you don't know this but we've meet, I was a Trines house when he was putting in his H22. You came over to check out my white hatch, it was on the jack stands then, it's alive and very well now though. So where can I find oem or Mugen bushings for the best price? The other day I was doing a 3rd gear pull and when vtec hit I lost traction, my suspension is not up to par with the motor at all.

Actually Honda does sell the bushing seperately. You just need to have the part #. Unless the dealer threw out the arm and charged me 1/5 the price, I have a set on my car.

hey thanks for the info Mugendude, i was not aware that you could just purchase the oem Bushings. Would you happen to have the part number? i actually need to replace mine.

LeadFoot78: Martin yah i remember. Trine told me you took him out for a ride, he said even at 5000rpm your car felt fast as ****. Let me know what kind of numbers you put down. And i believe the best place to buy the mugen bushings are from http://www.kingmotorsports.com, or oem from sunnyside acura like .RJ sugested.

FOLLOW UP: I promise this is the last time ill post in this thread.

I called Acura of Tempe and Acura of North Scottsdale (these are local acura dealers for the guys that do not live in AZ) and the both said you would have to buy the complete trailing arm.

Then i called Honda cars of Mesa and through Honda you can buy the same bushing which is the same as the integra bushing. The part number is 409829 and they cost 58.74 per side plus tax. So they would be about the same price as the mugen harden bushings. Hope this helps some people out.

There was a huge thread on the rear trailing arm bushing "controversy" a while back on G2IC.

Alternatively, you could IM Wes V on here -- he was involved in the aforementioned thread. I believe he has some info on his personal web page as well (no links, I'm at work...)

you drive a 93 CX? what do you expect!?

It might be less hassle to buy a new chassis and put the motor you built in that one.
