MORE tweeter placement help needed!!
ok.. if you have been following my posts regarding sound audio you would know that i was planning (or still am) to mount the tweeters of my component set to the mirror garnish AKA 'A-Pillar' by the side mirrors. today i was preparing to do so but noticed that my components (infinity Perfect 6.1) tweeter has two configurations of being mounted... one is "Flush-mount" and the other is "surface-mount." Flush mount is basically drilling a hole somewhere the size of the whole tweeter and placing the tweeter in the hole. Surface-mount is drilling small holes for the tweeter wire ONLY.. and maybe little holes to screw the tweeter to the surface. Flush mount lets me angle the tweeter in different directions but surface mount only points in one direction- which ever direction the tweeter is mounted in (the angle would be perpendicular to the surface). The problem is, when placing the dome tweeter on the mirror garnish aka 'A-Pillar' i cant seem to get an angle that points toward the driver or passenger. and the A-Pillar housing can't be flush mounted with because its not big enough to do so.. at least i'm guessing. it seems that the only angle i can get is kind-of pointing downward and more towards the door closest to each tweeter than the passengers. does anyone know how to get a good angle with the tweeter in this location? i don't want to custom-build anything really... if all else fails, i guess i'll have to drill holes in my door panels in the stock tweeter location.
Now, is the stock tweeter location (GSR,ITR) in the door panels not a favorable location to place tweeters? I, myself, am skeptic of this location because from the driver's side it seems the steering wheel kind of blocks the path of the tweeter.. i sit kind of close to the steering wheel. I'm very ready to do this install but don't wanna appraoch it until i know for sure where is going where exactly! HELP ME!!!

What car do you have?
I took an Alphasonik component set tweeter and mounted it behind the black grill of a tweeter pod in a '97 Civic. It fit into the diameter perfectly and the angle was very good. The driver side pointed toward the passenger and the passenger side pointed toward the driver.
Perhaps you can find this "sail panel" on a different car that would also fit yours. Must have power mirrors though...
