JG intake manifold worth ithe cost on a B16A?
Is a JG intake manifold worth it or is it just a hype?
I've got a stock B16A1 intake manifold right now holding about 16 psi boost.
DOes this Jg manifold have great power gains or should I keep my stock intake manifold and invest into something else?
Like a 3" downpipe instead of a 2,5" downpipe that I have right now?

I dont have any access to a dyno yet
My revlimit is set @ 8400rpm
I don't know if this helps but my best time @ the track is 12.42 @ 118mph on BFG Drag radials.

I have the revhard manifold which is the SAME thing but this is how I look at it logically...
How does a turbo make a car go faster? It FORCES air into the manifold thus it making more power. What if you opened everything up that the psi is traveling to, IE larger dp's larger charge pipes, bigger intake manifold, port and polish, and even port matching helps.
The main idea is the faster you get the air in and out the more power you can make.
But if your not making high power to begin with, the manifold could be an over kill. Id say 16psi is enough boost to where if you opened up everything the boost goes through you could make a bit more power.
hth!

I think its worth it to buy the JG manifold, especially if you are boosting on it. I'm currently runinng a skunk 2, but my roomates JG seems to be making a much larger difference in power. It's also good to use if you plan to make more upgrades to you engine.
I would say it is worth the cost...they are really not expensive compared to other manifolds.
The Edelbrock manifold is the best for the money, I think.
The AIR or a custom made one would be better, but much more expensive...and overkill on your set-up.
