if you are thinking putting a k20a3 in your EG, you might want to consider a B18c1 or a h22a or even a b16a. The k20a3 potential is not worth the hassle to buy the extra parts needed for the swap.

Well i am actually considering hte k20a3....like most of us i dont have the $$$ to just drop a k20a2 or k24a2....and since nobody wants an a3......i am thinking of intially putting one in ....then gradually build it...such as type r or type s pistons, crank, rods, intake manifold, injectors...and then also put a type s head and ecu with k-pro....with basic bolt-ons...toda cams... and a 6speed...with proper tuning....im sure this thing will fly...and with high rpms which we love...

so wat do u think ....save up and buy a k20a2 or k24a2 or buy k20a3 for cheap and build it?.....as of now i dont have enough to just buy an expensive motor and do the whole swap

Get a k24a longblock that is cheaper than the k20a3 and swap it with a 5 or 6 speed tranny. Then later on, add the type s head, later do cams etc...

If you want to stay all motor and don;t want to spend a fortune that would be the best way in my opinion.

Cams are going to be coming out as well for the k24a motor. With honda k pro the motor has made 160hp/160tqe with stock internals.

You would save TONS of money and be just as quick if you swapped over to a B-series motor and used some laughing gas.

the b-series.....ehhhh i want all motor....so i dont want to waste my time

So you're saying you're going to spend roughly 10,000 into a K-series when you could build a proven setup for a b series for half of that?

We spent around 10k to do a k20a2 turbo into an eg. He is looking more int the 6500-7000 range if he shops around. That is the price you would be spending to build a bseries to make the same amount of hp as the k20a2 has stock with kpro and i/h/e.

yee if u get the good deals....trust me it may even be less then that.....i dont want to go b-series....k has wayyyy 2 much potential.....might as well be patient...and get a k20a2 that will blow away many all motor b-series for the same $$$$

ppl following hte k-series swap....do u think the prices of the k20a3 should reduce....since nobody is picking them up.....another big reason y i am considering this swap

Yeap, I agree if your gonna spend the money to do a K-series swap go big or go home...!

K20A3 is kinda weak...you'd be allot better off going b-series turbo for the same $$

Crower and possibly other companies is coming out with some cams for the k20a3 and later on k24a... So maybe, maybe,... the A3 might touch 200whp which will need a lot of help in order to achieve but it will be possible.

Keep in mind that the k20a3 block is very similar to the k20a2 and k20a block..

Only differences are smaller water passages and no oil squirters which of course are not needed when using forged pistons etc...
