Yep...unless you have a multiple colored car I don't really see the purpose of it IMO it's trendy. *shrug*
All you have to do is sand the current paint, prime and use flat black (or whatever color you're wanting to paint) wet sand then clear coat etc...

Flat Paint? Why? Just let your current paint oxidize, then you will have flat paint.
I have never heard of such a thing. It's like when you see a vehicle riding around in just primer. That shows you that they are in the process of saving up some cash to get a shiny paint job, but just don't quite have enough yet. I say Don't do it. but then again, it is your car, and reputation on the line, not mine.

if you know what you're doing, and have it done professionally:

spray can job (not flat black):

even if you take your time, the spray/rattle can job doesn't come close as far as appearance. with that said, i think it's pretty pointless to have your car stripped/sanded down in order to go flat black. now, if your paint is in pretty bad shape (as both of the above cars were), i can see going that route.
prep work you can do beforehand... you could do the sanding on your own, but if you don't know what you're doing, you might as well leave it all to the professionals.

btw, why the same thread twice? : https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1102219

Someone please fill me in.... Is that the last step on the wagon? Or is there some color/ SHiNe coming to it. Around here, if you see that rolling around, it's because they are picking out their new paint scheme/color and saving up the cash. So is that the final paint job??? if so, you never have to wax it. Weird though, in my opinion.
Some people like the ashy look. Being a wagon owner myself that picture left me a little disturbed that one of my brethren is misrepresenting our calibur of Honda owner in such a fashion.
Still love you bro...
Just not that non-reflective paint job.

I agree, I think that just kills what would have been a beautiful car.
