im curious if honda made a manual seat for the driverside of the 98-02 accords. I hate that auto adjust crap. im a big kid, it squeeks, slips and recently one of the bars snapped so it pivots about 6 inches back & i bounce off the rear seats if i hit the gas. Its not much to change the piece that broke but i dont want the auto seat. id rather have the lever to move everything rather then buttons

LX models have manual driver seats as well

oh yeah? for some reason i kept thinking they had the power height adjustment...

which just brought another question to mind.... GottieHTP, do you have the full power seat? or just power height adjustment? if you're ok with power height adj., then get any driver's seat out of a 4-cyl accord...

 

my 4 cyl lx 98 accord coupe had a fully manual driver's seat

 

my ex...all manual except power height

 

i believe its full, the front lifts up & down, so does the back. then the seat back itself moves, and it moves forwards & back all controlled with 2 buttons, i want the levers just for the fact that it keeps breaking on me because im a big kid & i torque out the seats.

someone on v6performance.net told me to put an lx 2dr track in does the LX seat have the same seat stich style? or can i just pull off the track on my seat now & put that on.. because the fact of it being fabric or leather doesnt matter to me, i prefer leather since i have the smoke gray leather int. but i plan on having the whole inside redone with blue on black leather.

Have you checked out Honda Service Bulletin 03-034 re: installation of the Seat Link Support Kit for the 8-way power driver's seat? This was actually a free repair until 1/1/05, but you may still get some goodwill consideration from a friendly dealer...???
