Default i need help!!!

i have a 99 hx an i wanna put a new cam in it but i dont know if the d16y5, z6 will fit my car... someone let me know if it will fit

the z6 wont work since that is a vtec head but why would u want to modify the hx motor?

THERE IS POWER SOMEWHERE IN THE HX MOTOR I JUST HAVE TO FIND IT... I WAS ABOUT TO PUT THE EX HEAD BUT GOT SIDE TRACKED AN TOLD IT WOULDNT DO TO MUCH

do not attempt this. plz learn about your HX before doing anything to it. your best bet is to first get an EX tranny. keep the head. with the y5 head it can produce more hp in the long run. and plz plz do some research on the y5. its a great motor and they are coming up but still a lot of people dont know to much about them.

y5 isn't that damn great now. Don't make it sound like its the next upcoming heavyweight. It's still very limited on what it can produce...unless you would build it. But thats an overwhelming amount of money.(to me) Your best bet right now would be something simple and cheap. If you know much about cars...and can DIY get an ex tranny. After that save and get the y8 head.

You will feel quite a bit of change from the longER hx gears.

I don't really see the y5 head making more hp than a y8 head. Even with boost.

me?? i can keep up with exs' with the mods that i have if not beating them. i have an ex tranny in mine i/h/e fbr aluminum crank pulley and some weight reduction. y5 are great motors imo. this debate has been going on for a long time now.
