lude idle problem...not like the others
alright I have a pretty big problem...I just got my head gsaket replaced...and since then, like after I turn my car on after it's been sittin overnight, it'll take a little bit before it'll start, it won't turn over, and then when it finally does the idle is at 800rpm, but if you try to rev it, it doesn't want to...it'll hesitate to rev but after a little bit it will....now once the car is warmed up...the rpms go up to about 1500rpms, and sometimes purges, but then it also sometimes goes back down to the 800rpms when it's warmed up..not very often though....the guy that replaced the gasket said that I didn't have a fuel pressure regulator, or regulator hose...something likke that, and the check engine light also comes on, but not always ...could someone pleaseeee help me out!! thanks

If you have a 92 prelude you dont take it to autozone because its obd1 you can just check it your self. There is a jumper wire behind your center console on the driver side, just get a wire and connect the wire and see how many times the check engine light flashes with the key turned half way and look it up or just post it and someone can tell you. now about your problem with the gasket i would get a diffrent opinion from another mechanic.

maybe he was stating that you are missing a vacuum line from your fuel pressure regulator? just a thought

alright...put a vacuum line on there..the idle didn't really go down..and I don't know about the start..I'll have to find out in the morning...and when I was looking at it, there's no hose for where the idle speed control is either...and I don't know where that's supposed to be hooked up to...and how do I check this myself again? with teh check engine light...I'm not really understanding how to do it from when preludevtec mf explained it...thanks Ryan
