B18 vs B20
Do the B18 and B20 use different blocks or does the B20 have a larger stroke and/or bore to get the larger displacement? And why has the B18 become so much more popular than the B20?

If you look at the specs on the two, you'll see that the B20b is just a B18b w/ a bore of 84mm instead of 81mm. Hope this helps. </TD></TR></TABLE>
this is not entirely correct.
A b20 uses an awkward "siamese sleeve" design where the sleeves all share a wall, rather than being 4 independent sleeves, like in a B18.
B20 rods are absolutely identical to B18B rods.
when it comes to part selection, you can treat a b20 as an LS with an 84mm bore.
B18 blocks are more popular because there are more of them, and they are typically cheaper than B20 blocks.
