I was wondering if all turbos are suppose to have a whine/whistle to them? Reason I ask is my t3/t4 had it, and then when I switched to the sc52, it really just sounds like a jet and rush of air, but no whistle. Is this how the bigger turbos are suppose to sound? or is it that im just not pushing enough air through it?

nope, like i said doesnt make the whistle sound at all. Just more of a rush of air.

 

Two things:
1) If there is no shaftplay
2) Your making boost

Than I wouldn't worry about it.

My turbo doesn't whistle..I just hear the turbo spooling and the air being being sucked.

i hear whistling, whining, air compressing and rushing... i think its normal.

 

Are you letting it rev high enough. I have a 57 trim Master Power and it whistles like a ****. I love it.

 

One day i will hear teh whistle of my turbo spooling

 

its tight when i drive by some fine females on the side of the road, i don't have to whistle at them, i just rev it a couple of times and my turbo does all the whistling.

Ya its a brand new turbo, not problems at all, and makes boost fine. I dont really care whether it whistles or not, I just was wondering why this one wont. And yes it wont even whistle when i redline it.
