camber kit questions?
My car is lowered 2.25(1 finger gap) in the front and 2" in the back. It has some old 16x7 wheels with 205 45 15's I need a camber kit but was noticeing that with my current tire set up if I get a camber kit the tire might rub the inner fender. I decided Id have to take that out and hammer and dolly the metal inner fener lip/ tabs that attach to the splash guard/inner fender. I also decided that I would need 40 series tires as well to decrease chances of rubbing. Will the Ingalls kit work for my need? Will the sprint kit work ok if ingalls wont?
any camber kit will work. you're right about the possiblity of rubbing. i'm running 205/45/16 and it doesn't rub but i had my fenders and quarters rolled just in case. and some undercoating/rustproofing helps since the rolled metal will help collect moisture and create the infamous honda rust.
Contact me and I can explain your options. You can check us out at: http://www.camberkit.com where we have a camber faq page that outlines some camber basics. Rolling your fenders is definitely a good move. Usually you will have most of your rubbing issues in the rear. SPC has some rear LCA's that will pull the wheel assembly in half an inch allowing for a bit of a wider wheel and more clearance.
