Default xs-engineering turbo kit...im very satisfied so far

well i just finished my 19th birthday and with perfect timing came my xs-engineering turbo kit with fuel system upgrades. the turbo is a garret gt28rs, water cooled, 24x11x3 intercooler, plumbing, apexi power fc, power fc commander, 550cc injectors, a 255 lph pump and some other goodies thrown in. im really excited to get this system up and running and will have a review by february when its on...i dont wnat my nice new front mount to be under 2ft of snow if the winter here acts like it has in the past....dam new jersey

this is my first go at modifying a car and wanted a bolt on kit with maximum reliability, performance, and quality...so i chose xs-engineering. tell me what you think....any suggestions too would be great

here are some pics

full kit

turbo and intercooler

i think you could say im just a little excited

I'm between this kit and the Greddy. What made you decided on this one? Is the wastegate internal or is the flange welded on the manifold? If its on the manifold, is it on a runner or on the collector? Does it have a BOV flange? What whp and psi would you be running? Lastly where in NJ are you located?

Looks like a really nice kit. I would choose this kit over the greddy kit any day. Only thing I dont like about it is the downpipe. Look like a real restriction.

SNS Performance - this kit has an internal wastegate which is fine for a low boost street setup.

I have been eyeing this kit for some time now. I was told by xs-engeneering that mild changes like exhaust wouldn't effect the pre tuned apexi power fc. (pre tuned?...) Unfortunatly the tuning of that stand alone ecu is limited to dealers with the apexi software, though I have seen a third party software it lacks popularity and with that good tuners. I am thinking that since the closest apexi tuner to me is four hours away I am going to just use hondata (local tuner).

How much did you pay for this kit and where? The best price I have seen is about $2950 and thats w/o the fuel package. With the fuel package its about $4000 shipped.

What BOV are you going with? I hear that its needs a steel not aluminum flange. I think i am going to use the HKS SSQV.

I see you have the Power FC Commander unit as well. Did that come with the fuel package or did you pay extra for that?

Hope to hear back once the install goes down.

whats good everyone...sorry i didnt post back i got no more responses after like a few days so i thought the thread was killed. i got the whole kit direct from xs-engineering...troy's a great guy. the downpipe measures in at 2.5 inch roughly so for a street setup its not that restirctive. bov wise...im going to be running a tial bov with steel mounting flange. jeff evans is going to do the tune for me next month...im really excited....im going to call up cometic and get a headgasket made to lower compression down a bit....and im thinking maybe 8-9 psi....turbo magazine did a test and at 7 psi..stock block....the car made 235 to the wheels. hit me up on yehiknowrite on aol...nite
