Finally dyno'd new GSR setup!! w00t!
So when all the stars, planets and tides are just right.. thing work out pretty well
I had no intention of dynoing the GSR this evening, but after asking a friend of mine at the dyno about openings, he mentioned they had a spot open today and well, I just happen to get out of work early.. so why not
The setup:
B18C1
81.5mm stock sleeves
JE 9:1
Eagles
Stock head/cams/TB
Victor X intake manifold
Revhard cast mani
SC61E
2.25" charge piping and standard small Searco FMIC
2.5 -> 3" flared/flanged DP
3" exahust
Precision 880cc injectors
Walbro 255lph intank
Uberdata 1.7
All tuning was on pump gas and at 1bar with a healthy spike at boost roll-on thanks to the 3psi spring. AVCR did a good job stabalizing boost quickly after spool though so
to that. The results: 402whp @ 14-15psi
Unfortunatley as with the last time here, the dyno's RPM pickup goes nuts on my car after the turbo spools so I couldn't get an accurate torque readout, I estimate it at the usual 260-280ft-lbs. Overall i'm pleased and it's nice to know all the lag I was complainin about wasn't just in my head
The 9psi spring, C10 and a lil' more boost comming soon
BIG THANKS TO:
My wife for not divorcing me yet
Pablo at Lujan for 'taking care' of me
MiamiDamian for a great deals on the parts
M.A.R.C. for his SC61
..and especially Jeff Evans / Boosted-Hybrid. Without his unselfish attitude towards sharing experience and information on tuning theories, I never wouldn've been confident enough to do this.
to Jeff!

Yea I'll get a shot of the graph up by tomorrow if I'm not too lazy
The weirdest thing about it is how the power doesn't stop climbing
I had the dyno operator stretch it a little more.. little more, and still the power would just climb as the revs did. The peak numbers were pulled at ~8500rpm, I'll go a little further when I get springs and retainers

Yep just got here thanks! You got the oil pump right?

No, not yet.
Your setup is exactly like mine. Hopefully I get numbers close to yours. Did you do the tuning yourself?

Hey how is the lag on that SC61...Im trying to to to decide what turbo to go with....And also I see your using the Uberdata....I have a local guy trying to talk me into it I was sold on Hondata but I see it must be working for you and at a fraction of the cost....
Sweet numbers man

Sweet, everyone's getting dyno'd these days. It's good to see you've got everything up, congrats! Hope my ol' t3/to4e still has something left!

So did you adjust the timing and wake that snail up?
Or is it still the same...
The other turbo im looking at is the GT35...
I have 84mm so I don't know if the displacement will make a difference in spool up time???
Sorry to be bugging you...But im researching the turbo I buy this time instead of rushing and buying something I wont be happy with
