problem with trans??? 5th gear gets stuck when cold.....

Default problem with trans??? 5th gear gets stuck when cold.....

ya when its cold and im in 5th and try to down shift, i have to put alot of force to get it to pop out of 5th. anybody else have this problem??? and it doesnt make any noises like grinding or anything when i pop it out. i never heard of this problem before.

check your master cylinder (clutch) it might be out of fluid top it off then bleed it from the slave cylinder

Im having that problem with 2nd and 5th.....IT SUCKS....it pops out easier if you turn the car off while driving.....

well i know its not the mastercylender, or anything like that. im thinking it either syncros or linkage.

Is your car droped or anything? If so check shift linkage... My car was slamed hit a sewer cap and my car wouldn't go in 3 gear the same hope this helps

ya its dropped, slightly. only 2.5 inches. but it will go into 5th, its just a struggle to pop it out of 5th when i down shift when its cold.
