my boy just chiped my obo0 pr4 to run vtec using a pw0 base map.. what we are woundering if which pins do we have to pin and wire for the vtec to work.. thanx for the help.
Don't believe there is a simply pin that sends out the 12v signal to your solenoid.
A obd0 PR4 is very similar to PG7, PM6, PM7, PM8, PR5, PP5, PS9, which are all OBD0 Non-Vtec MPFI ECU's.
Many people convert their PR4 to a PS9 ECU (which comes from a OBD0 Civic 4-Door Ex, equiped with the D16A6) then use the one-wire vtec method to enable VTEC.
Unfortunately, it's not as simply as chipping and burning a VTEC map onto a chip and putting it into a PR4 or any non-vtec ecu to make it magicly have it switch fuel/ignition maps at a predetermined RPM set in the pw0 map.
Good luck 92integGS.
P.S. there are two wires that goes from the VTEC Solenoid to the ECU, the 12 volt singal and the oil presure switch. All OBD0 pin locations are the same; hence, it will be the same PIN as the PW0 and PR3. That should mak eyou're search a lot easier.
