problems with vtec

Default problems engaging vtec

my buddies h22 won't engage vtec we where thinking it's the TPS or the siloniod ground any other reasons you guys can think of? we tried the TPS and relocated the ground and it's still not working

ecu- But this just happened to my friend. You know what the problem was??? Huge dent in the oil pan. Also check the vtec solenoid. Run a power wire to it and you should hear clicking,if you do its good. If you dont try and clean it off and if that dosent work than you know its the solenoid

we just put the motor in on sunday so there's no dents or anything but i'll check the solenoid thanks

What car is this in?? And what is the ecu you are using? Any codes?

it's in a 98 accord lx and where running the h22 ecu. but the ecu reads 28 which i don't get because my friend said that his book doesn't display that high of a number.

also he has a skunk2 intake manifold with the stock throttle body
