Default H22A accord idling problem.

So i have a JDM H22A in my '94 accord LX. it runs like **** in general. The idle is jumping up and down... my redline is 6500??? (some guy sold me an Automatic ECU saying it would work all the same, yeah right). could it be because one of my vacuum lines arent hooked up? IF that's so, i don't know where it goes anyway.

when i converted auto to manual, i had my jdm auto p13 plugged in for like 30 seconds and it didnt idle well. I think the auto ecu was looking for the signal from the tcm. Although some people say it has worked fine, that wasnt the case for me.

I have both of those hoses plugged up.

the two ports on the left, jus loop a vacuum hose to those two ports. the one behind the manifold, that is why it is idling bad. there should be two ports on the side where that yellow hose is. one should go to the hard line that goes to that valve near the fender, and on mine, the back port is looped to the other port on the side. as far as the auto ecu goes, you have to get it converted. once the auto ecu is converted to 5 speed, it will be fine. an auto ecu will not work at all if it is not converted.

I'm sure this thing is pissing you off but the ECU I sold you was fine, I don't rip people off. My guess is your JDM motor has no EGR valve and the ECU is looking for one and causing it to idle poorly. Or you don't have an EGR control solenoid.

Are you throwing any codes? A code 12 by any chance?

no egr valve wouldnt make the car idle bad. not hooking up the vacuum lines correctly will. and all JDM h22's do come with egr valve.

if he didnt switch the pins and the egr was hooked up the car would idle bad and/or shut off. The CEL wouldnt light up unless you drove around.

so one possibility is the EGR control solenoid is not hooked up (or not even there), right? i believe there are two vacuum lines running to it, plus wires to the ECU

if the hose leading to the egr is on and the pins havent been switched the idle will be ruff. if its disconnected idle will be unaffected. if the egr plug(to the harness) is unplug its CEL city.

i bought this ECU. it was an AUTOMATIC ECU though. he claims he did not know... it has a BIG *** AT written and and circled on it with a thick pink marker... I assumed he knew it was a 5spd...since the post clearly stated it was...
