Default RPM taking to long to drop

every since i fixed my thermostat my idle has been lower. that i dont care. but now when i shift it takes a sec for it to even drop. then it drops very slowly making my car choke before it drops to the geared RPM. i thought it was the clutch cable to tight and it not disengaging all teh way, but i did it so that my cable was the least tightest adn it still happened. whats up?

is your dizzy cap getting enough air? that ionized air in the cap has been known to cause ignition problems.

It sounds like the tps is going out. Backfiring or mising will happen if the TPS is not functioning correctly.

Most likely your throttle cable is kinked on something. Or cooler weather could be causeing the throttle body to stick a little bit. The cable or throttle body itself is the only thing i could ever imagine making that happen.give it a try

Sounds like a stuck throttle cable/throttle plate.
