Some eye candy from our current projects(AR FAB)
I just wanted to show you guys some of things currently being fabed and wrenched on at the shop. I think howard has a sunburn from all of the welding he has been doing lately!!!! LOL
Hope you guys enjoy
Here is some pictures of he VW that is receicving the full race treatment. everything is fabed in house.

A close up of the H22 Manifold that allows the use of the factory front mount.

Here is a 91 mitsu that is receiving a fully built AR motor, AEM, SCM61, Custom Front mount, Shooting for a mild 500AWHP.

Here are some pics of our new hottness the SCION TC, Soon to be a turboed street monster.

Here is the prototype manifold.

Starting the IC Pipes

Let me know what you guys think!

I have already seen some turbo setups for the car.....most of them are tubular manifolds....3" DP's....cut this cut that....
The kit we arre building is designed to be a true bolton...no cutting....for a little extra you can buy it in "OFFROAD form" Monster IC and big T3/T4 turbo. But it will not come with any fuel management of any kind.....At that point it will be up to the customer to provide an EMS or purchase a Calibrated AEM and harness from us....My meaning of calibrated means it will start and idle but needs to be tuned...

those scions are sweet. i have a customer that just turboed his. the car made 295whp @ 10psi. it spins the 19s in second.

The VW is a 1.8T head with a 2.0L bottom....fully built. It has the GT3271R on it....along with an AEM EMS.........

You tune it?........there is one on SCIONLIFE.com that makes that at 10psi.......On a Greddy Emanange...

A bolt on kit for the Scion would sell well I believe... BUT not w/o any management. That is not bolt on my friend! Does greddy make a kit yet? If they don’t I would be willing to bet you will see it at SEMA this upcoming year

the base kit will have fuel management...the offroad kit will not.....that will be the customers choice. we will have the AEM offered but some will use the Motec unit....
the base kit will be capable of 400whp....which I can tell you the fuel management that we will use or any other piggyback will be at its limit. The offroad kit will be capable of 650whp with supporting engine mods and FUEL....
Since the car is a returnless style setup the standard FMU setup is out.....The greddy emanage system is an option so is the MAP ECU box, FJO is supposedly coming out with something. But we will use a boost dependent controller that controls the ECU signal to the Fuel pump.....Digital FMU....neat little box...inexpensive compared to the other options and easy to tune.
Right now we are using Precision Turbos and there IC's.....BUT Im looking at another option on that now....but will still be Garrett based....
The manifold is a log style for now...all Stainless and heat coated to 2400 degrees...IC pipes are Aluminum 2.5" with a 3" air intake....the downpipe is all stainless.....it will be offered with and without a CAT too...Oil supply will come from a sandwhich adapter so that filtered oil will be supplied to the turbo.....The turbo itself will have a stainless heatsheild around the turbine housing....Depending on availablity I would like to use the Greddy RS BOV but our backup choice is the HKS...the wastegate is the tial 38mm....

Does this car not have a MAFS? I would imagine that it does. And I would also imagine that the stock MAFS wont handle 400HP that you want out of your "base kit". Does your "base kit" come with a new MAFS or am I way off and the car is running a MAP setup?
Would it not be smarter to run smaller charge pipes on your "base kit" dew to the length of the pipes? Like 2" to IC and 2.25" to TB, or 2.25" to IC and 2.5" to TB, or just plane 2.25"?
What plans do you have for your "bolt on" return line? New oil pan or is there a sweet spot on that block for the return?
I believe you missed the point... I don’t need to point out the rules of FI section do I?
Your recent post should be included in the first one

With all the info I just gave most of your questions are answered....
3" air intake...allows for more airfolw on a HOTWIRE MAF setup.....
2.5" charge pipes....I have been building charge pipes for 5 yrs....on the DSM's we started out with 2.25" charge pipes...our kits now are 3"...with no loss in spoolup or power...just gains when the boost is turned up whether its a small turbo or larger....
As far as the drain is concerned....most kits drill the pan...but there is a plug on the block that looks promising....havent yet tried it yet....
HOTWIRE MAF= the ECU supplies a 5v signal to the MAF, there is a wire in the MAF that is heated to a set temp, when airflow crosses it its cooled so the voltage is stepped up to keep it at the certain temp up to 5volts, if you increase the size of the opening that the MAF sets in it allows for more airflow...the increase we are doin doesnt affect the driveability that anyone can notice while driving(reason:closed loop)...but it allows for higher airflow on the big end...our tests and experience with the Subaru/other Toys hasa allowed me to say that 400whp is possible.....understand the bottm end is gonna be fatigued at that power level....
There is alot of ways to skin this cat....but im trying to make this kit very user freindly so that no fabrication is required.....

Wow, never seen a head design with so few exhaust manifold bolts, it'll be interesting to see if problems arise from the weight of the turbo setup (unless supported) and/or any sealing issues.
for some cool projects

the flanges are 1/2"........after we weld the flanges we will have them blanchard ground flat.....the bolts are pretty large though....and the head surface is a large area too......

The 1.8L has an ATP manifold on it....but if you need a flange done...I can Dimension in one for you from the Manifold.......
