Cybernation S2k vs Evo VIII
Need some help here people... Summer time is time for a new toy. I love the S2k, have always loved hondas as you can tell by my profile. I would be all for an S2k, but my friend has a stage 3 WRX and I just enjoy doing 4 wheel power slides something awful...
What should I get
does anyone have an 04-05 S2k with cybernation??? I know the RSX's hold up great to the boost, but I dont know about the S2Ks... if I do get one, it will be getting turbo no question...
thanks for the help

If you like drifting...go buy a 240SX and slap an SR20DET in there, that way you arnt making payments on a car that you'll most likely rash up real bad since you love powersliding as you said... (not trying to be rude or nothing, just saying it would suck to finance a car, drop a load of money into a custom turbo kit for it and then enjoy power sliding a little too much one day and have it sitting in a pile of bent metal...)
Get a cheap 240...release your powersliding angst on that car, and if yu do happen to get an S2000...lol, just enjoy driving it.
Of course thats just my opinion, if you got the money go grab one and drift the **** out of it, make sure you video tape it though, i have almost a blood lust for seeing nice cars get rashed to ****...

the s2k takes FI very well... from either supercharging or turbo charging.... keep in mind the internals of the s2k are forged..... there have been many people with very high hp numbers with the stock block...
turbos to check out... http://www.inlinepro.com , http://www.ultimateracing.com

You sure the internal are forged? The rods are I beam rods, which isnt very great for high hp abuse. And i think the piston are just coated with forged material or something like that.
I'm really not looking for a "drift" car... dont get me wrong... I'm gonna drift the **** out of it, but I want a nice car... I want something that I can take out on sundays and beat the hell out of it... something that will turn heads...
I consiter myself to be an exceptional driver, so I'm not worried about wrecking it... more worried about the engine lasting

There have been several articles that tell why the S2000 isnt a real good candidate for longevity AND drifting in one package. But hey man...your car, they are deffinately a blast to drive, just seem kinda expensive to plan on driving like you siad, but ****, your car...making the payments on my wife's just prevents me from wanting to "beat the **** out of it" every weekend and drift the **** out of it...i just see curbs and other cars and lol...lots of other factors that make me just enjoy running her up through the gears on spirited drives down twisty roads...but maintaining sense about it...

for the record... I dont always drive hard... in fact since I"ve gotton my RSX I seem to have calmed down a lot... it's just nice knowing the power is there if I get the urge...

Oh no doubt, its nice having a good bit of power there, im just saying based on your posts, kinda seems like you want something with more torque, something more geared towards sliding corners than just shredding them up with incredible handling...since you love power sliding so much and all, seems like torque would be a neccesity for you. Especially since your talking turbo's being a must...
Trust me... I'd love to have the torque of a mustang or something... but I figure with a turbo... all the power will come in at about 4k or so... it should have plenty then to raise hell...
do you have any numbers from the track with your 430hp???

But let's face it, you are going to break something if you drift/slide/tear it up all the time. So I got a 240. Yeeehawww!

Geez.. I never knew you had a 240.
I always thought it would be a mere civic owner, or 240 owner moving up to an s2000.
Not the other way around! =P
would love to drive an s2000 though.... maybe in 5 years. unless if i choose some other canyon car.
