This may be a dumb question, but are there pistons that are made specifically for nitrous? If so, what are the best ones? Thanks.

 

i know of no nitrous specific pistons. what kind of car do you drive? how big of a shot do you plan on running?

 

it's going to be a b20z with a 150 shot or so

 

nitrous loves high compression,, but you can go to high with it,, i recommend je pistions and eagle rods,,

the highest compression i would run is 11:1 but i would not take it to a 150 with out breaking in the motor first with the lowest direct 80 shot,, if you plan on running anything over a 75 shot then go direct it is alot safer

My setup is going to be a b20z, JE or Endyn pistons (11:1), eagle rods, JG cams, and some other stuff. I've had some friend blow engines by rushing through the break in so I won't be spraying for the first 2k miles

 

for a 150 direct port i would put some je 10.1 compression piston rods and a must ignition upgrade for less detonation !fuel pump ,clutch,exaust 2.5,whit kamikaze headers
