Default CLOSED/OPEN?

Does anyone know if the k20a2 is an open or closed block design? I would assume open like a b-series, but don't know 4 sure. Also, how far can u bore it out safely (w/ sleeves) for N/A use?

I guess i should have said open or closed deck. It refers to the cooling jackets around the piston bores. if you look at, say, a B-seies block, it has an open ring around all the piston bores. An sr20 does not. under extreme cylinder pressures (BOOST, NITROUS, high compression) the bores can vibrate quite violently within this open space and cause head gasket failure or crack themselves, which is why most factory designed turbo engines are of the closed deck variety.
