A real P73 ECU for $200 isn't a bad deal. I'd go for the P73 over the program you currently have. Up to you though...

the p73 has an immobilizer if it is a 99 00 year so you cant even use it without a checkengine light ...

on the usdm ecu there is no way to take it off.

take a p 28 chip it and have fun / **** obd 2

vtec at 5800 and cuts off at 8700.....stock ecu....p73...

I have a teg gsr and stock vtec kicks a 4400 rpm(which you barely hear it, if even) and the secondary kicks in at 5800 just like any stock ecu would....and fuel cuts at 8200

well my p72 that i have now vtec is at 4200 rpm now that low for a car that doenst have a vtec controller and my fuel cuts off around 8100 or 8200 i think im going to stick with this one. some people have told me ( i dont know if its right correct me if im wrong) that the p72 is better than a p73

it depends on the application. a p73 would be better if you had a b18c5. your vtec engages at 4400 unless you have the p72 chipped.

what are your mods..that will really determine what ecu I would recommend for you. I'm assuming your running the stock intake manifold and your car is pretty much stock, so I'd definately stick with your stock gsr ecu. The p73 ITR ecu will not control your secondaries in your stock gsr intake manifold...thus, loss in hp, torque, low and midrange power. But then again, its your car and the choice is yours. just my .02

If your running with a gsr motor i say stick with the p72 ecu because if you use a p73 ecu a lot of sensors don't work causing a engine check light.

I'll 2nd that

I'm on the same boat...

go for the p73 if you get a single stage IM like skunk2 ir ITR and you don't want to worry about it. Otherwise get a p28 chipped as others have said

there are a bunch of threads talking about which is better depending on what you have... I'd search a bit
