i jus got another eg and its running codes for map, tps and o2 sensor anyway i checked the o2 sensor and its got 5 wire anyone ever heard of this? no plug its all hardwired wit black ttape any ideas? i thought they were only 4 wires

 

its a vx isnt it? its on the top of the manifold isnt it? they run a factory wideband. it isnt cheap. ntk i believe. i have owned 2 and a close friend had one also. all three needed o2 sensors,but ran fine. we didnt care though we did swaps. oh yes cx's have 1 wire. thats what i have now, but it is now a 4 wire for the h22. dx and si have 4 wire.

 

From what i understand the low models (vx,dx,hx) have 5 wires.

 

no its a 1.6 vtec swap not a vx and its 95 DX body

 

what ecu are you using for that swap? that is a wideband o2 sensor.

 

a stock p28 i didnt do the swap im tring to figure out what the kid did

 

you need a four wire o2 sensor. keep that o2 cause when you go boost you need that o2 sensor to tune your car.

 

how would i wire up the 4 wire o2 sensor when theres 5 wires coming from the harness

so basically i cut the plug that has seven wires, and wire only four of them up to the new 4 wire o2 sensor? am i right?
