Default before i start piecing my kit together...

Well, since i got my christmas money,i now have enough to "built" my z6 and piece my kit.

Well, when i say "built", i mean shotpeened ls rods mated to vitara pistons.my friand thinks that this is to ghetto and that i shouldn't do it and that i should save up for je's and eagles. If i had that kinda money i wouldn't be building a d,i would be building an ls.

Here is what i plan,i want everybody's feedback to see if i have everything i need and if my parts mate together.

Block:
mircropolished crank
shotpeened ls rods
vitaras
all new gaskets/bearings etc.
posted
honed

stock head(thinking regrinding my cam to zex 59300 specs but dont have any feed back on it)
valve seals
check for wrarpage/valve guide scratches/shitty valve seats
reground valves

turbo kit:
spoolinp mani(or i'll have one costum made,not sure about log mani's )
cheapturbo.com t3/t04e .48 a/r turbo
JRC FMIC(6'' ok for somewhere around 300whp or should i go with the 8?
38mm tial wg
some kinda bov
450's
uberdata(hopefully)

Like i said,i dont have enough money to build my engine with top of the line parts.my future plans are a built ls/vtec.

my main concern is the turbo.i know the .48 will spool fast enough for my z6,but compared to the .63,at the same boost level,is it gonna give me the same hp per psi?because i could settle for high end power, but a little low end would be nice.

the main purpose of this post is to make sure i'm not wasting time/money.i want any positive/negative feedback you guys can give me.

that spoolin manifold is good u will like it

i would just buy good used parts becuase think about it, your buying used stock oem rods and used pistons, might as well look around for someone selling aftermarket parts if ur looking to save money

becuase saving money and going fast is a hard thing to do, cars cost alot of money

do it right the 1st time.

well, actually i'm not using used pistons, they are brand new.things like bov and waste gate i don't mind buying used, but i dont gonna get a used turbo beacause its the heart of the system.

why not start with baby steps?? Tuning hardware should be on top of that list... and then boosting that stock z6.

i've thought of that engine wise,i wanted to boost a stock z6 to see how far i can push it,but unfortunatly i found out its already blown

so its either buying another d for 450 or building the one i have now for around the same price

i'll go with plan B

as far as tuning hardware, chipped ecu,450's,uberdata,am i missing something?i dont know how much hp the stock fuel pump can hold, does anyone know?

EDIT:i forgot,the wideband to

If i were you i would choose a Super6- T3. That turbo can do 300-320 whp and will provide lotsa tq and deliver a broad, flat torque curve over a peaky powerband. Though it may make less hp in the upper 1krpm, the Super60 will give you a greater amount of power and torque from 3k-6k. However this is my opinion. Take into consideration that i also do alot of Auto-X and some road race stuff. Plus i daily drive that turbo on a LS engine and its a dream. The turbo is efficient up to 20-22 psi before it starts blowing straight heat.

But if you insist on the T3/t4:

.48ar is fine for your setup. .63 would be a little bit much for a stock (relatively) bottom-end z6. I recommend a 57 or 60 trim compressor. From experience with friends cars the small 57 trim will spool at the same time and provide more cfm than the 50 trim. A .63ar exh with a stg3 is just too much on a daily/street driven car. Which is what i assume is what you are doing with this car.

As for fuel management, Uberdata is a good choice. If you are close to PA/NJ/NY/CT area contact Boosted Hybrid about tuning. http://www.evans-tuning.com Theres ALOT of VERY useful information on that site regarding forced induction hondas. Its Boosted Hybrid's site.

The Spoolin performance manifold is a veru good choice if you wanna stay low buck. The combo he has out now is awesome. Mani/DP/WG dump for $400, thats a good price, considering others are selling the DP alone for $300 brand new. Its a proven setup.

Go with the 8inch JRC for 300whp. Its only $50 and you get ALOT more intercooler.
