B20VTEC vs. LSVTEC...which is the better and faster setup?
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=962406
i just read that thread about what a lsvtec can do to a stripped hatch.
my question is would a built b20tec (85mm sleeved b18 (2L), type r head, _______ camshafts, _______ valves and springs, type r crank and rods, type r 4.7 tranny, 11._:1 compression pistons, ported 70mm type r intake manifold and 70mm str throttle body, type r 4-1 exhaust manifold
would this setup be better and faster than the setup in the above thread of the lsvtec? im building a b20vtec but when i saw that thread it made me think.
theres no need to rev high anymore since its only for drag racing so would a 85mm block mated with 89mm ls crank and _____ rods help more than type r crank and rods?
leme know guys
or to make it easier, does anybody know the ultimate all motor 2L vtec setup with a 10k budget.

Most of the time you are gonna have to spin the LSvtec and b20 Vtec to around 8-8600 RPM's to stay in your powerband. if you gonna take the money and sleeve it and get nice pistons. why not get some nice eagle rods?
Also y put the Type R crank in the ls or b20 vtec. since they already come witha 89mm crank. your loosing HP and TQ by going with the type R crank.
This is not a E-racing forum. there are more variables than just motors.
Are you a good driver?
what is the altitude that you are at?
Street tires? or Slicks?
Suspension mods? stiff rates? Traction Bars?
So you really wont know til you do it.. if you dont make it then i guess not. if u do then more power to ya
