Default I beam vs. H beam rods

can a forged I beam rod handle as much power and RPM as a forged H beam?

The H-beam design generally has more tensile strength than the I-beam design, but weigh more due to the increased amount of material used in their construction. If you're planning on spinning your motor at some insane rpm's, then I would say H-beams for sure.
