Default Need help, lowering my car more..

My EG hatch already has some misc ebay springs that came with it when I bought the car. It's not that low and I'd like to slam it how my old EK was.. any advise besides just cutting springs? My EK had aftermarket ebay springs that were cut so they weren't too bouncy but still ghetto.

No thats the worst way to go, bad advice. Using lowering springs especially H&R's will blow stock shocks even if they are brand new, trust me ive done it. GC coilovers are only around 250 and KYB AGX shocks are 300. These are ebay prices, and thats shipped, its a good set up and you can do a lot with them. That is most likely your best bang for dollar, and with the ground controls at a 4" dropped, the car nearly sits on the ground so you can have fun changing it to what you want.

how bout the dropzone setup??? 300 on ebay for coilovers and shocks that allow you to drop reliably. I went that route. no probs yet and a pretty smooth ride

i disagree with that, i have drop zone on my car, with STOCK front struts in the front and kyb in the rear. yes i know its not a good idea but the front is just as stiff as the back and out of all my friends i have the best ride. i have had it for more than a year, my friends who have lowering springs with expensive struts say i have the nicest ride. it is almsot like a stock ride. i say get drop zone off ebay...cheapest and i have GREAT experience.

if you want it to be low like the hatch, then get some coilovers, they will go a lot lower than a spring/ strut set up

ok I've always wanted to say this to someone one here CONGRATULATIONS! Now your car handles like **** lowering a car that much throwes the suspention geometry off so bad it's not even funney. and dont say "oh well blah blah's race car is like that" yeah becasue they redid all the suspention mounting points so they could get a very low center of gravity and still have good dampering ability. You might as well cut your springs... actually remove your springs, that'll "slam" your car. Have a good life botteming out over pebbles

ok just get some http://www.ground-control.com coilovers. They will lower you and give you plenty of options should you choose to build your car into something respectable.

dont buy dropzone
