i'd say turbo charge teh crap out of that sohc motor or just swap it out for a b18c...that'll solve your problem...whatever you do, you're gonna have to upgrade b/c it's hard to get a sohc to beat a dohc especially if the dohc is also upgrading too...good luck

I'm not trying to steal D-Money CX's thread or anything here, but I'd like to know (and it'd probably be helpful to him) if a lot of people have boosted D16s here: What is the best, most effective method that's also cost efficient? I'm just asking what brand turbo seems to be the best and what other parts / changes have been made to make that turbo most effective?

for real just drop the gsr motor in your car. and put the d16 in hers. then race she will never know. well actually she will think there is somehting wrong big time with the egine becuase of the huge power difference.

Hey do you still have the turbo celica? if so what year. or where i can ahold of it? cuz i know somwone that will pay some bucks to have some parts or the whole thing!

Homemade turbo kit. 8-10psi
and Uberdata is all you need. you'll get respect with that. and you will barely spend $800 if that. most of it would be in tuning.

it was a 93 celica GT-S we took the turbo off of it its sitting in my garage. the car was totaled so progressive took it to a used parts yard in the quad citys area.

Have there been any write-ups on the homemade turbo? I haven't noticed any in the stickies.
