Default ARP rod bolts and head studs, question?

I am helping a friend reassemble his motor this week and he is using ARP head studs and rod bolts in his B20/VTEC. These bolts were in the motor when he spun a rod bearing and now he is reusing them. I am just curious if we need to re-stretch the rod and head studs or if the stretching process in done due to prior installation.

Any information is great! Thanks.

stretch= torque.

All torque is is the stretching of a fastener. Are you asking if you need to retorque the head studs again after 500 miles??? I never do after the first time around.

But you should always use a rod bolt stretch gauge when tightening the rod bolts

Well I got the question answered last night but I was just trying to figure out whether or not I need to torque in two steps x3 or if I can just plastiguage and then final torque but I got it. Thanks.
