Sup everyone, my friend got his 97 dx coupe (d16y7) pressure washed, and now it's throwing code 73, which is cyl misfire no.3. We blew dry practically the entire engine bay including wires, spark plug wire holes (lot of water in there), each end of the sp wire ends at the dizzy (again lots of water) and the cel is still there.
We tried reseting the ecu but still. The car idles weird and I really need some help because MY DAD WASHED IT!!
What should i check next?

pray that you dont have a crack in your head. if the CEL does not go away after more exterior checks...you're gonna have to have a professional crack open the head to check for damage....good luck.

 

how long has it been doing that. I used to work at a car wash and that would happen every now and then, and we would blow it out and let it sit for a few hours, and if you can get it started, let it run for a little bit. Giver some gas and try to get rid of anything thats still wet.

 

I work at a carwash and it does happen and then it goes away. But we never check codes on cars and i guess people don't really pay attention or don't care. We used steam and the engine was hot so a crack isn't really on the list i'm thinking. I guess we'll have to give it some time.
