^'th gen A/T
Ok I bought my 99 ex v6 coupe about a year ago. From a Honda dealer when I bought it it had 73,000 now it has 85,000 miles on the OD. Carfax says it was a lease. My question is when these 6'th gen auto tranys go out and if they were replaced do the repacement trannys have the same problem? How would I be able to find out if it was replaced? It is under warranty until 100,000 miles. I don't know if i want to pay for a new tranny for this car I think the money would be better spent buying a different car.
how much are these trannys costing you. I basically would like to know is this car worth it? Im gonna loose money no matter what But I want a dependable car. Thats why I bought a Honda but next time TOYOTA
well thanks thats what I wanted to know, So you're on tranny number 3 with less than 60,000 thats awful. Honda Owes its customers more than that. If i but another Honda it wont be an auto.
when i bought my car i have no idea if the tranny was replaced, but i got it the fuild was pink, but the tranny only lasted a year with me.. then boom its gone.
my dads mechanic told me it was a good thing i had the 4cl then the v6 model, all i know im going manual after this whole a/t problems im having.

it's math. There arent enough 'numbers' of problems to warrant honda bothering. Thats how companies work. They know there are problems but they only offer to fix them if there are enough complaints from either customers or the DOT or whatever regulates that.
