Default vin ranges for transmission problem

Is there a state range of vin numbers for the 2000 accord that have had transmission problems? Considering buying that car, but have heard there was issues with the transmissions.
Thanks.

I *believe* it's all 1999-2001 Accord Autotragic transmissions (1998 was not covered) on the V6 models. And I believe that warranty was up to 100k or 150k?

There wasn't a VIN Range released if I recall.

As a side note, I would look either at the 5th gen or 7th gen if you're wanting an automatic. Much more reliable.

here we go agin

original warranty extension:

7 years 100K for 200-01 cars
98,99, and 2K1 cars were considered on a case by case basis only

California court settlement added 9 months and 9K miles to the extended warranty bringing the total to 7 years 9 months or 109K

odometer settlement adds 5K to the 100K warranty for a total of 114K

Thanks. The 2000 I'm getting is a 5spd. Take it from the posts it was mainly the auto that was affected?
