Default how to find powerband

how can i find my powerband i have a 94 honda civic and i am having a hard time finding when the best time to shift is.

put it on a dyno.......... then you can use those numbers and gear ratios (gear and final) to determine the 'optimal' shift point for straight line drag racing.

I wasn't aware 94 Civics had a powerband...

If all else fails, just run it to redline. Hondas generally make most of their power up high.

On a VTEC, the powerband is generally from where it gets really LOUD to when it hits the rev limiter.
And that is a serious answer, I've got the dyno sheets to back it up yo.

My '93 Si (sohc) makes peak power at 6800. I set my shift light to come on at 7000-7100.
