Best bang for buck suspension setup
Im in the market for all new suspension components and I badly need to get a good quality shock and spring. I am currently using shitty quality coilover sleeves over my blown stock shocks and it held up for a year or so but is completely fucked now with the h22 swap in my eg coupe. Im looking for a shock and coilover sleeve combo and I was considering Tokico 5 way adjustables with Ground Control sleeves but not exactly sure if its the best. It's on a tight budget since I've already spent alot on the car this year...id say between $1000-$1300cdn tops...if possible.
Thanks!

i know you said you want a adjustable and a sleeve set up... but if your going to spend that much... i would suggest tein SS. or even flex.... i have a set on my civic.... one day i can ride like a go kart.. .and the next i can ride like a lexus... the 16 way adjust ments is so great! and makes a world of difference. trust me.. if you get them... you will love them. tein ss is about 1k and the flex is 1300... if you can get the flex... i would say go for it.. if not.. the ss are great enough.
Who makes those H22 swap specific rates? It's something you might want to consider.
Koni Yellows should be at or near the top of your list for shocks.
The best customer support ever. Not to mention Koni Lee is on this board. (CRX Lee)
If you plan to go very low, the stock length Koni may be a little too long, however.
They can be shortened, or Ground Control has a replacement upper top hat, allowing for more travel.

Ground Control coilovers with Koni Sport dampers and GC upper mounts. When you order from GC, you can choose the spring rates that you want at no extra charge; they use Eibach ERS springs which are available in 25 lbs-in increments IIRC. Off-the-shelf Koni Sports can handle any spring rates up to about 600 lbs-in.

yes, don't skimp out and buy without knowing. You could spend 1k on some Teins, and be happy that your car is lowered and you can 3 wheel into a driveway....but you car will be happier with a custom setup tailored to your needs

If you don't mind a limited spring rate choice, you may also want to look into the Omnipower full coilover setup. Their Street kit spring rates are around 560f/448r IIRC. While I have never personally seen a shock dyno for the Omnis, the damping curves are supposed to be very good based on the testimony of others who have dynoed them. Excellent bang for the buck.
I did my research, took me about 3 month of Reading everything here, and finally went with this
Neuspeed Koni Yellows Struts
Eibach Sport Springs
I got my koni's for 800$CND shipped to my house (that's with tax and customs)
an the springs were about 300$
shop online, they have way better deals then local shops
