Default Transmission or clutch??

I have a technical question here. Earlier, I was making a left turn from a stop. About half way through the turn, as the clutch was pushed perhaps half down, it seemed to slip, resulting in my engine reving without engaging a gear. as i stopped, I attempted to try all of the gears, which would engage, but the engine just revved with no forward motion. All the gears can be engaged, and the clutch has pressure. What could be the cause of this? Any help will be appreciated greatly.

maybe the clutch disc? sounds kinda odd that you still have pedal pressure. doubt it but maybe you need to bleed the line.

If you still have pressure in the clutch, it could be that you destroyed your clutch, much like what happened to my car. It felt OK, gears felt OK, but it wouldn't move. It did make a different sound when I let the cltuch pedal out.

Here is a picture of what happened to mine. I'm guessing same thing.

The guys story was "I was just driving down the freeway, got off to the off ramp, pulled it out of 5th. stopped. When I put it in gear, it just wouldn't move."

Hope this helps

Most likely the clutch is bad.

Shattered disc. This is often the result of oil impregnation due to a leaking rear main seal. I had this happen on my 914 a few years back...I was going up a hill in first, heard a pop, then nothing. I could put it into every gear and the engine revved fine. Separating the tranny from the engine I found pieces of braking material everywhere and a lot of powder. Leaky rear main seal was the culprit.
