Default J&S Ultra Safeguard question?

I was wondering what this system does. Does it do what the HONDATA does? If I were to get a HONDATA, would I still benifit from the J&S safeguard???

If you have a Hondata...its more of a nice to have than a must.

J&S is a n 'active' knock sensor that can detect knocking and compensate it by retarding the time per cylinder as opposed to doing the whole engine at once which can cause perfermance problems....its also pretty much hands free, unlike the older MSD BTM's which you have to do by ear and hand.

You can even get a monitor that allows you to see the A/F and how much its retardind the timimg...nice to have....but not essential IF you have a hondata.
