Will all guage wiring work in any amp?

i bought a 4 guage amp wiring kit and i want to know will it work on any amp?
will the 4 guage fit on this amp http://www.discountsjungle.com/prap402cham2.html
or would i have to get an amp that say it will fit 4 guage wiring like this one

also how many total rms watts can my car handle without killing the battery and alternator

also how many total rms watts can my car handle without killing the battery and alternator</TD></TR></TABLE> Yes it will work, as long as the amp does not need a larger ga. you will have to get a 4ga term. that will fit your amp, as for the power needed to run the system, remember the alt. provides the power not the batt. the batt. stores it, and a better batt. is always a good idea, but it comes down to the alt. in the end, if you draw more then the alt. can put out, you will damage the alt., and the batt., also SQ, will suffer. the car manufacturer installs an alt. that is about 10% bigger then it needs to be, so a base model car will have a lower output alt. then the same car fully loaded, [ power every thing] So adding evan a 100watt amp will put you close or over the limit of what the alt. can handle, not to say you can't get away with it, [ with a better batt. and cap.] a bigger alt. can never hurt.
