how to tell the difference between cranks

how do you tell the difference... i was thinking there should be a stamp on it or something, so.... where is it at and would it be the same as the head codes???
well what cranks are you trying to distinguish, the b17 and b16 are easily discernable by the counterweights, as far as i know there are absolutely no stamps (gay) so you just have to look at the actual size, the counterweight design and thats about it.

b16 from b18(ls) i had them taken appart and they where seperated in my parents garage (i live in an appartment with no garage) and my dad "cleaned" the garage and now i don't know which crank is which.
