I am in want of a project car to build over time and iv decided the car will be a 92-95 hb b16 turbo. this will not be my daily driver. I think the car will be ez to find, but the engine is the main part of this project. Would it be dumb for me to buy a b16a2 right now w/o a tranny/ecu or anything, build the engine up then get the shell and the other stuff? BTW i need the a2 right?

 

you don't absolutely need the a2

if you are going with a usdm engine go with the B16A3 it was in the del sol vtec's it is an obd1 engine, whereas the a2 is an obd2b

 

so would the b16a3 be the best b16 to put in a 92-95 hb? if i was going to build the engine completely
