Default higher compression?

i posted this in the teg forum, but no reply. thought i'll try it here.

my setup so far-
98 b18c1
i/h/e/c/im
01 type r cams
skunk 2 IM
70mm TB (spoon or itr bored to 70, not sure, bought it use)
msd sci ignition
01 type r ecu
thinking about rising my compression a little, like changing my head-gasket.
just need some opinions. TIA for the replies

I'd drop in some JDM p30s and then you'd get around 11.7-11.8 or so. You're at 10 now and changing headgasket is only good for +0.3 or so..Not enough..

i put jdm itr pistons and milled the head .015" on my gsr and it came alive, also added jdm itr intake cam

i think my c/r is around 11.95:1 runs fine off of 93 octane with no problems

pct's in a b18c1 make too much compression for the streets imo

kinda off the subject but how much whp increases when you raise your compression? i have a b18b1. i'm not going with ctr but .02mm over usdm itr pistons. anyone have any idea of the increase on that?

thanks for all the replies............
i live in CA with all the emissions sh*t, trying to built something reliable cuzz it's going to be daily driven. thought about the pistons route, might be too much work. what kind of head gasket would you guy recommend? and is it worth the price or will i see any gain at all?
