B18c1 w/ si trans ?
Hey guys, i am getting ready to order a b18c1 from importautosalvage.com and i am having last minute thoughts on whether i should go for si tranny or gsr tranny . . i have been reading up on it and thinking about it and so far the only downfall i see of getting the si (99-00) trans would be shorter gears which would lead to less miles per gallon and perhaps shorten engine life ? i duno . .
and yea, this is going into a 2000 civic EX and it will be an obd2 gsr COMPLETE swap . . whatelse will i need ?

Depends on how you plan to use this motor. All motor - You can keep the GSR tranny or go with the SI tranny for even better performance. Turbo - keep the GSR tranny. Also depends on road racing or drag racing.
I'm going to put the GSR motor in my 93 CX and am trying to find the B16 tranny for it before I put it in. I'll be drag racing though.

im basically trying to put something together for daily driving purposes but want to be ready to go back for some auto-x. Would a b16 tranny be a good idea ? ne complications during this install ?
where to buy ls 5th gear and how hard is this install ? ? keep in mind this would be my first engine swap .. a friend of mine is pretty experienced but NOT wid Hondas.
thanx
