I know its not really ITR related, however the problem of the part is on m ITR..so

Anyhow, I have a new set of RAYS Engineering lugs on my Type R and LOST my Lock key that came with it

Anyhow, I was wondering if all the keys were universal. It seems to be a similar key to Kyokugens (7 Sided I believe) however there is a "groove" on one side of the lugs.

Im wondering if I buy another set, will that key work on these?

Or am I out 120.00 that I spent on these lugs? .

Sorry to say I think you are out of luck.

If you can find one that will work the great but you won't be able to buy a key on its own obviously for security purposes.

However, is allowing me to drive my car down there and try out the different keys he has in stock.

 

Don't fret if you can't buy a key for it, just get a tire shop to get the lock nuts off. No matter what, you'll still have 16 good lugs.

 

crap. that sucks. how did you lose it. .. try to find it.

i lost my Kyokugen keys before but i found it after

yeah best bet is post up on classified. see if ANYONE has that key for sale.

if not.. go to tire shop .

my last choice is go buy one more set.

Whenever I buy a set of locking lug nuts, I order an extra key for it, and put it in a safe place. Just a suggestion...

 

that happened to me before too
i had set of Rays lugnuts but lost key
i ended up taking it off all messed up w/ locknut buster socket
i had couple sets to test if keys were same but none of them fitted.

 

yea if you get another set, make sure that you order extras to keep in safe places. Same thing happened to my Jeep when I had it.

 

rays makes 4 different types of locks? thats hella cool

 

if you cant find another key, go buy one of those Gator grips from sears (you know, the as seen on TV pos) They suck, they will probally **** up the lug nut, but it will get them off.

 

yea that would work, but I am willing to bet that your right and they would F up the nuts forever.
