+32 offset rims on del sol. Lug nut seating question
I recently bought a set of rims that have a +32 offset for my 95 Del Sol. I test fitted it and put the lug nuts on.
the lugs only screw in about 2-3 full turns...
is that enough?

no...... thats not enough, you need to get the right kind of lugs for the studs

obviously not if you can only screw it in a few turns. what lugs are you using? you need to be uning a tapered lug as most aftermarket wheels require them. if the lugs aren't your problem, the wheel hub thickness is. are the wheels made for Hondas? 32 offset seems to be a questionable fit.

i have muteki lug nuts. they are tapered. im not that stupid... i took the lug nut and spun it all the way on the stud without the rim and it's fine. it seems the lug nut seats sit up too high so i guess it's the hub thickness.

Re: +32 offset rims on del sol. Lug nut seating question (ADVAN EG2)
I can't remember offhand, but there is a required # of turns that the lugs should turn for it to be considered safe. I can't recall just how many but a few is way less than optimal. Be very careful if you decide to run like this.

Re: +32 offset rims on del sol. Lug nut seating question (ADVAN EG2)
do all the lugnuts turn the same amount?
if it only turns 2 or 3 times for every single one, you might not wanna use those rims!
what car did those rims come off of? are you using a torque wrench?

you dont have to call it tapered. cuz taper can mean anything.
its either ACORN(most aftermarket lugs), or BALLSIT(stock lugs).
