Messed up fuel gauge after jdm cluster install

Default Messed up fuel gauge after jdm cluster install

I thought it was the fuel level sending unit. replaced it and its still wrong. goes 150 Km after empty and never get any higher than 3/4 full. checked for loose, broken or grounding wires. nada. help.

so open the cover when its full and move the needle up to the top thats my best advice maybe the gauge is bad

Same thing happened in my winter beater (DX). I got a junkyard cluster from a wagon (it has a tach) and the fuel level gauge was doing exactly what you describe - never full. I did what's said above - move the needle. All is well now.
