Default EG6 Cluster Question

I just bought a used JDM EG6 cluster and the fuel gauge doesn't work. It would read full at all times. my old dx gauge works fine. i took the gauge off and I can move the fuel gauge and the gauge would stay at the position that I left it at, but when I hook up the power, the gauge moves to full again. The coolant temp. gauge moves back to cold when moving it up. Don't know if it's the same with fuel gauge. Any information would help. Most likely, I think I need a new gauge, but whatever I can do to save the cluster would help.

Default Re: EG6 Cluster Question (NsX_CrX)

You need a new gauge. I had the same thing happen to my EX/Si cluster fuel/temp gauge. Too bad it's the JDM cluster; if it was USDM you could just go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and buy the gauge thing for like $90. Or you could just buy an entire cluster used for like $70.

So yeah, since it's JDM, you're probably SOL.
