Default converting OBD-2 engine to OBD-1

I know the distributor has to be OBD-1. Is there a difference between VTEC and non VTEC distributors? The ECU has to be OBD-1 as well. Is that all there is to it?

Its something about OBD1 having only 1 i think IAV(something like that) and OBD2 having 2 or the other way around.

I have been reading more and more about the OBDII to OBD1 conversion problem, it looks like a conversion harness will take care of everything, plus OBDI ECU. Can anyone help me confirm this applies to F22's as well?

from what I have read you are right but the fuel injectors also need to be replaced. That may have been what you were thinking about on the intake manifold.

it's not the injectors, it's the IACV. OBD2 accords have a 3-wire IACV but OBD1 computers need a 2-wire IACV. You can change the IM or make an adapter plate to attach the 2-wire IACV to your IM. Then you have to wire the 2-wire IACV in.
