Default how do i tighten my belts.

when i take out my ac compressor out of my h23 i need to know how i tighten the belt from the altonator to the crank

so you're removing your compressor or replacing it?
if you're replacing it, then you need to properly evacuate and recharge the system, then it should be a no brainer as far as the belt.. tension it the same way you released the tension on the oe belt before you removed the compressor.

if you're straight up REMOVING your a/c.. that's a different story. i've never dealt with that, but isnt the tensioner for the belt on the compressor BRACKET and not the actual compressor? if so, with a shorter belt, you should still be able to use the tensioner.
