Default 2001 f23 vtec into EG

So far I know I have to convert the accord enigne to OBD-1. This is done by replacing the distributor and getting a OBD-1 ECU. Anything else? Will the F23 vtec be able to run with a P28?
Axle issue. Hasport sells their axles for 399. Is there anything better? DSS?

Hasport mounts the best or is this opinionated?

Is there a step by step procedure for F or H swaps. I know I have to cut around the shifter assembly and cut the firewall to allow the shifter cables. Any good pictures of this would be much appreciated.

This is going in a CX, so is there any wiring information I should know about? EGR?

Thank you for helping. Please don't tell me to get a B series, I have had one. And don't tell me to get H series.

get a kseries then.......... Personally I like hasport mounts Im just not fan of their axles. HCP(I thinkthats the brand) I heard makes great mounts for h22 swaps.

I have Gator Racing Stage 2 Axles... they are cheaper than DSS. So Far, So Good.

I have Hasport mounts, I think they are worth the money. I haven't had fitment issues with things like traction bars and such. Some people have with the HCP mounts. Another friend has Enjoi mounts and he likes them.

Why do you want F22 over H22, just curious?

The engines are much cheaper, and I don't have to sleeve for turbo. I had a B16, so I'm looking forward to the long gears and torque.

th biggest issue i can see you ahving is mounts, i know the mount kits will not directly bolt up to the bracket on the timing belt end of the f23. so you may need to get an f22 or h22 bracket to bolt to teh block.

So the f23 will not bolt up like the f22? I didnt know this. BUMP for second opinion.

the mount ont aht side is different.
putting an h22 into a 6th gen accord is a little more hassle as well.
and putting the f23 into a 5th gen accord we had to struggle some with the driver side mount too.
check out the diagrams at http://www.slhondaparts.com and youc an see the differences.

So how would you put the f23 or f22 into a hatch? I havent gotten the engine yet, still trying to get info. What year engine would be easiest? What years are the accord engines OBDI (94-95?)

94 and 95 are obd1.
i figure if you can get access to several differnt mounts, and can experiment to see which will fit th best an h22a moutn kit can be made to work.

You can get the timing belt mount from an h22, trim the mount and slot the bottom hole. Then it will fit on the f23.

I've done this a total of 3 times. Twice putting h22s into 6th gen accords and once putting an f23 into a '94 civic.
